This is a category for things that don't fit into other categories or that I feel need to be mentioned as notes about the year. Some of these show up year-to-year, some don't. It's freeform!

There are some things that deserve recognition other than just the albums themselves. This is the category where I get to spill out the rest of those observations. These categories change year to year.

It's real! Belgium's finest have released their first full-length in 12 years! And it's a self-titled too, which honestly makes me a little uneasy. I often feel like a self-titled is a statement of a new sound, new direction, and that would be very understandable after such a long absence. What form are they taking here?

2015 is done, and it was pretty damn good. But there's already some things looming on the horizon for 2016 to get really excited about.
