After a series of great EPs, The Cavaleros have finally gone and put an album together. If you've been following them this far, nearly all of these will be familiar to you. Heck, half of them are covers, so that might still be the case if you've never heard them. Still, there's reason to be excited, because The Cavaleros are exciting! Their loud and raw sound is fast and punchy and just the right amount of lo-fi. It takes a special breed to do a Link Wray cover that doesn't just make you want to hear the original and The Cavaleros do that twice. Their originals fit in perfectly too.

Inspired by two articles that had me in tears: one where a neural network made magic cards and another that made recipe titles, I thought I would try my hand at using a neural network. But what sort of data could I feed it? Well, surf seems perfect. It's been around for ages so there's plenty to draw from, but it's also got a lot of tropes to make it identifiable. While Tsunamibots are working hard to replicate human surf music, I have years worth of playlists full of surf song titles. Perfect. I'll have this artificial intelligence make a surf playlist.
