For a lot of us I know this album answers a prayer we never considered having. John Reis of Hot Snakes, Rocket From the Crypt and all sorts of other groups have teamed up with The Blind Shake (lesser known but a great band, especially if you're a Hot Snakes fan) to make a surf album. While it won't be out until February, you can stream it on the AV Club's website. Believe it or not, it's as good as it sounds like it should be. Heavy, fast, well-produced, surprisingly inventive. I had this preordered as of a week ago and I'm feeling pretty secure in that decision.
