It's been two weeks since I've been on the airwaves and I've been scooping up instrumentals all the while. A LOT of new stuff on this show and even more new-to-the-show stuff including a stack of twelve 45's (maybe more depending on the speed of mail).
Here's the thing though: we're in the middle of our pledge drive. You may think WTUL isn't a part of your life, that's for the New Orleans folks, but if you're on this site I'd argue otherwise. I've thrown mountains of effort into this endeavour and a pretty decent amount of my own money (everything WTUL-related is volunteer), and all I want in return is to be able to keep doing it. So if you want to support SSOR, you support the radio station. Simple as that! Donating to radio feels GOOD! You can be guaranteed that your money is going straight towards sticking music in people's ears and spreading the sound of surf!
You can do all that here. Don't be ashamed if you can't spare much, we don't normally get much either! Any amount gets us excited.
