WTUL is a community radio station and relies on listener support to remain operational. And it's a nice way to show appreciation, reminds me why I pour so much time into this volunteer effort.

As I'm sure you know, pledge drives aren't usually the most fun shows to listen to, so I've gotta work pretty hard to keep your attention. That means, today's show is COVERS. Not covers of surf songs (though a few of them, we'll get to that in a sec), but pop, underground, vocal, soundtrack, whatever. I mean Pink Floyd, Ennio Morricone, Outkast, Joy Division, Buzzcocks, The Strokes, Dead Kennedys, Salt n Pepa... all instro.
I do have a 15 minute block dedicated to the recently passed Jim Fuller, lead guitarist of the Surfaris. That'll be in the first hour.
